This exclusive high-end experience will find us landing by helicopter onto a private charter boat travelling around Fiordland, between Preservation Inlet, Dusky and Doubtful Sound.

This expressive retreat has it all, from helicopter rides to luxury accommodation, magical scenery and rare wildlife, untouched and inspirational landscapes.

On this high-end retreat you will find yourself experiencing everything Fiordland has to offer, from its stunning landscapes, hidden coves, wildlife and rich history. It's a photographer's dream tour. You will be joined by Richard Young and Shaun Barnett who both have spent large amounts of time capturing the Fiordland landscape and will offer you tuition throughout the tour along with review and critique sessions each evening, projection images onto the large TV screen in the lounge. At the end of the tour, we will print two of your best photographs from the trip as stunning 17x21” fine art prints.

We start by helicoptering onto our private charter boat in Preservation Inlet or Dusky Sound (weather dependent), which will be our accommodation for the next 6 nights. From here we will see sights like the beautiful waterfall at Cascade Basin and Stella the shipwrecked steamliner and discover the area's rich history of Maori battles and Gold fever as we slowly cruise the inlets.

Cruising amongst various islands, coves and passages, we will experience many historically significant destinations including; Anchor Point, where Captain Cook anchored HMS Resolution in 1773 and Pigeon Island, home of New Zealand’s first conservationist, Richard Henry, plus visit Puysegur Point Lighthouse New Zealand’s most isolated lighthouse.

There will be the opportunity to capture stunning wildlife as Fiordland marine reserve is home to many rare bird species and marine mammals, the charter boat also has remote-operated vehicle (ROV) technology: which provides high resolution live underwater footage, which gives a unique opportunity to view marine life and black coral on TV screens from the comfort of the main saloon.  We will finish the Cruise in Doubtful Sound’s spectacular scenery.

The vessel for the journey is the Fiordland Jewel, a 24m, three-deck catamaran with a high quality 5-star marine fit-out, there are nine climate-controlled cabins, each with their own ensuite bathroom.
