X - Tawaki Wilderness Workshop

NZD $4,395.00
  • Duration: 4 Days

This workshops focus is the Tawaki Penguin, we have a rare opportunity to be guided to a very limited access colony. Here we will have use of an open hide that has been used by our local guide for 30 years, so what is known as the world's shyest penguin is completely undisturbed by our presence - so much so that sometimes our long lense prove too big for the job!

We have timed this workshop so for when the penguin chicks are growing and there is plenty of activity happening in the colony to capture.

Based in our luxury accommodation in Lake Moeraki this retreat will also explore the areas other wildlife, including fur seals and Hector's dolphins and other native birds. There will also be the opportunity to venture into the local forest which is rich in extraordinary local flora as well as explore the stunning coastline of the West Coast for sunset.
