Macro Photography Workshop - Auckland

This is a one day workshop at the West Lynn Gardens and Butterfly house in Auckland. On this workshop, you’ll be introduced to Macro and Close-up photography and learn how to capture the magic of the miniature world around us. Learn secrets behind Gail’s memorable macro shots and gain hints and tips for shooting macro outdoors as well as indoors.
By joining us on this workshop you’ll be guided through simple techniques needed for focusing, capturing beautiful light, and composing fantastic images. Not only for beginners, this practical workshop is suited for all levels.
The workshop is in two parts: To start off, we learn the technical aspects of macro photography and will also look at compositional aspects and techniques to create amazing close-up photographs. We will also cover shooting styles and how to create attractive flower photography.
After a short lunch you will start creating your own expressive images by photographing flowers and insects around West Lynn Gardens. You will work step by step covering what you have learnt during the morning session, having a short review of your images at the end of the day.
