Autumn Expressive Retreat

Join Richard Young for 4 days to explore expressive photography and portfolio development in the autumnal Wanaka landscape. This retreat is best suited for those who have either attended (or going to attend) Richard‘s 7-day Portfolio and Processing Retreat. We will further explore portfolio development, which serves as an expansion on the 7-day retreat, or working to prepare you for it. 

During the four days, we will explore the autumn landscapes around Wanaka, heading out to Nevis for one of these. We also have ample time to look over portfolio development and themes within your work when returning to use Richard‘s home studio with P906 printers set up (along with lots of paper). This is limited to a small group of only four people maximum, all booking requires confirmation to make sure people attending have the relevant experience and give priority to those that have attended or are attending the portfolio processing retreat. For those who are not working on their portfolio development, please book the Autumn Masterclass Workshop to further your photography with Richard.

An essential part of the art of landscape photography is engaging with the weather conditions—and the light—rather than just capturing a simple postcard representation of the landscape.  Autumn conditions offer infinite opportunities to be more creative within the landscape—to produce more expressive and personal photographs—come with an open mind and hope for some autumnal conditions.
