NZD $345.00
  • Duration: 5 Hours
  • Location: Wellington

This one-day landscape and long exposure photography workshop is located at Shelly Bay in Wellington. The workshop covers shooting dramatic and awe-inspiring landscapes and long-exposure photographs. This is an intermediate-level workshop for those wishing to advance their landscape photography. The workshop will consist of two parts, with an online learning component before the on-location shooting session.

Part 1: Online learning

Follow along with Richard Young in a series of 3 Online Video Tutorials to ensure that you are camera ready for shooting landscape photography. These videos cover essential controls for creative landscape photography, including correct camera & exposure settings, shooting in manual mode and filters for long exposure photography. Included in this component are also 3 downloadable eBooks on landscape photography. It is essential that you complete the online tutorials before heading out on location to be camera ready.

Part 2: Shooting on-location [5 Hours]

Join Spencer Clubb for a 5-hour shooting session on location at Murrays Bay to learn landscape and long exposure photography. You will start by covering any questions you may have from your online learning and then expand on this with several tuition sessions covering composition, focus and filter use for landscape and long exposure photography. The workshop has been timed to finish with the chance to shoot a dramatic, long-exposure sunset, applying all your new skills to create a beautiful landscape photograph.

During the workshop, you will learn how to use ND filters for long exposure photography, allowing you to use longer shutter speeds to create beautiful effects with the movement of water and clouds. Capturing images like this requires specific skills and knowledge on how and when to apply filters. By joining this workshop, you'll be guided in the techniques needed to enable you to learn how to take some amazing landscape photographs. You can borrow ND filters for the workshop if you don't have your own.
