This workshop is designed to teach techniques for capturing wide vistas, use of low light, using the unique texture and color palette of the region and winter weather conditions to create stunning images.

We look at the juxtaposition of man-made structures such as the distinctive powerlines, winding roads and the elements of natural beauty intrinsic to the Mackenzie Country’s landscapes, which include the iconic Lindis Pass, Ahuriri River, textured tussock grasslands and rolling hills, the Southern Alps and the expansive skies that offer unique photographic opportunities.
